Default My 1990 hatch is only running on 2..

Hey, went to start my car today and its only running on 2 cylinders.. took the power off the battery to reset the comp. but nothing. I know there isn't water in the gas... Im set on the conclusion that is MUST be the distributor.. But im wondering if the car maybe has a limp mode when a sensor is down.. My check engine light isnt comin on... Any suggestions? Oh, 1990 civic hatch DX.

There is a limp mode, but you get bad mileage, and you don't run on 2 cylinders.

You probably ran through some high-water.

Vash is right about limp mode.

How did you know you are on 2 cyl or is this just a guess?

Well i let the manifold cool down so all ports were even temp. started it up and simply kept going accross them all with my hand. First two were (like if u were standing over the motor and couting them left to right) were very hot to the touch. Next 2 were just warm, could hold my hand on em all day

But wut controls the spark b4 the distributor? Not to sure how this car works...

No I'm serious. That's really a good place to start. Check the injector, the wiring etc. If I was making fun of you, I'd have done it by now.
