hi guys, I was wondering if a d15b1 trans (88 civic std (4 speed)) can be swaped out for a 5 speed one maybe a y7 or y8. i know that most things on d series bolt up to other d series, but the trans is the only thing im wondering about. lol i know that the b1 is only ~70 hp but just currious if its a strait swap over, or is it just not possible to get a 5 speed not possible.

any 88-91 Civic/CRX 5 speed transmission will swap right in using your 4 speed axles and shift linkage - Y7 or Y8 transmissions have hydraulic actuated clutches and won't work with your car, which has a cable actuated clutch
