looks alright. I hope you used a high temp paint. Does the color fade from black to red?

 

I did used high temp paint, yup it fades from black to red.

 

I like it.

a little dimply, but nothing a sanding down couldn't have fixed

I actually like it
fading is tight and I wish i could do it to mine

 

i still dont know why people dont tape off the oil cap, bolt holes and spark plug tubes, it looks cleaner and saves you problems later

does look good man

 

I think I am going to do something like that to my old valve cover tomorrow. Give me something to do, but I like the black to red fade.

 

i have to many valve covers sittin around that are painted its fun

 

Anyone care to share on how that's done?

Yeah I would like to know how to do the color fade myself.

 

spray one color past where you wana fade, then go back over with the 2nd color at a angle till you get the desired fade your looking for, its tougher with a rattle can than a real paint gun

autozone pepboys oreilys..... places like that... the valve cover get to be around 200 degree... i used 500 degree paint... and used a high gloss enamel
