Default WINGLESS R

All:

I apologize for posting something like this, but all the searches that succeeded last week for this subject, no longer work. Nothing has changed on my end. I had gone wingless and wanted to follow up some of these posts with a neat little trick I had done to fill in the wholes for .39 cents + touch up paint.

Please advise where all these posts are as I'd like to compare my car to those whom have done this.

I bet his "trick" is to use plugs from the strut tower of 92-95 civics and paint them with touch up paint.

Hmmm, that sounds like a pretty good idea.. Maybe I will paint a couple PY, and put them on.. Will they keep the water out though?

doesnt matter, the water that gets in there will just drain out the back and not harm anything. covering the holes is purely cosmetic

Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the idea of water leaking into my car for any reason. Something to cover the holes is NOT purely cosmetic.

I'm with Reid on that.

Water doesn't actually leak into the car. It leaks onto the side part of the trunk. It goes around the rubber lining so no water ever gets into the trunk. I've done it before.

what he said. open your trunk and look where the wing holes are in relation to the rubber seal. water never actually enters the interior, it just goes between body panels so to speak.

Honda part #: 91601-SR3-000 OEM plug that will fit in that hole, you can paint it with touch up paint if you'd like.

Sears Hardware, .39cents for a 3/8" plastic cap and a bit of PY touchup paint.
