#14 You can figure at least that much for labor too. My estimate = $885 Total

He asked how much it would cost at the "Dealer" to get the radiator changed and the valve changed. Radiator + Valve + Labor = $885 Just a guess on the labor.
If you can do it yourself, you can do it for half that, easy.

Do yourself a BIG favor and locate a local Independent Import Repair Shop that specializes in Honda/Acura Automobiles. It is not necessary that you rely on your local Honda Dealer for something like this.
There are all manner of quality Aftermarket Radiator Manufacturers (Modine, etc) that are ridiculously cheaper than the OEM version.
For the time being, look up a Radiator repair shop in your local area. Not only do they repair radiators, but they can also install any aftermarket radiator you may want.
The Idle Air Control Valve is another issue all together. It is available only thru Honda Parts Division so you have to buy it from them, but you can still have it installed by just about anyone.

Just an idea here. All depends on you, and what you want. If you would buy an Accord service manual for your car http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r= (you also have to have some tools) the money you would save doing this one job yourself, would save you more than the manual cost. Doesn't sound like a difficult job, with the right directions.
mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn i'm about to just get a radiator from ebay and get one of those little shops to put it on and just tell honda to fix my idle valve. Then with the rest of my money left over i can just buy some good weed.
why dont you just go to a local shop. if you do, my guess its gonna be around 600-700 max cause a radiator and a IACV is not hard, or time consuming, to put in
they quatoed my 560 for everything but the guy on the phone said i might have a headgasket problem but he also said the mechanic said i might not. But if it is a headlight problem i'm just giveing up on the car and getting a 92-95 civic or a 90-93 accord coupe
Na. It's really simple. Those people that you've been dealing with are Tatoo clones from Fantasy Island and don't know sqwat! Mental Midgets all.
If it were a bad Head Gasket, you'd have oodles of problems up and above what you're dealing with now.
I'm surprised they didn't recommend a new Ash Tray (THAT"S where all the problems come from!)

I agree, do the work yourself, its a very good idea to get familiar with your own car. And yeah spending the leftover money on weed is a nice way to tell yourself "job well done". Nothin better than tinkerin on your car in the garage at 10 pm smokin a fatty.
I work at a dealer and we very seldom sell factory radiators. We use a company called Performance radiator and their product is one of the few aftermarket parts I am comfortable installing. They have excellent fitment. Installed would be approx. $400 parts and labor. The IACV is easier to install than the radiator.

Oh, that's why they don't put ashtrays in the Accords anymore. Causing too many problems. Now I understand.
