Can’t get hood open
I haven’t totally closed the hood of my car for a while now since I was always working on it and the other day I closed it so I could give it a quick bath since it was dirty from sitting. When I went outside today to do some work on it I wasn’t able to get the hood open.
I tried pulled on the hood release but no “Pop”, the cable going to the hood release is moving and it’s not broken but it just won’t pop so I can open it.
Is there anyway to manually open the hood? The bumper is off if that helps any.

I had this problem.
Firstly get a pair of socks, gloves anything to put behind the bonnet release and to keep it open.
Walk to the front of the car and lift the bonnet up.
Get some WD40 or similar product and spray in the bonnet pin whole and close the hood BUT not all the way, just so its resting on the pop up mech.
Now still with the socks, gloves whatever still in behind the bonnet release catch to keep the bonnet from locking shut, press down on the bonnet and pull it back up so the grease can work its way into the mechinism.
Hope this helps, it did for me.

Since the bumper and the trim piece above it was not on the car I just sprayed a bunch of lubricant on the latch and pulled on the hood latch release cable with a pair of needle nose pliers and it popped open.
