1. Hell, I have all four of the Spoon bars.
2. No. But there is that trunk brace thing.
3. Hard to say because I don't have a JDM bar to compare it to my Spoon. The Spoon rear bar does look alot stronger then the JDM one though.

I have the Cusco CF rear upper bar. Its very similar to the JIC Magic one. Very fat like a hand rail and super, super light.

2. no not stock
3. i have no basis for comparison but i def felt a difference on highway off ramps. when i took it for a test drive after install. needless to say the car felt much better at the next auto-x. im sure the spoon / mugen bars are stiffer but i think w/ the mugen (and/or) spoon bar, u have to cut the plastic covers (someone confirm?)
pix:
1 Mugen fronnt and rear
2 Nothing stock
3 Never used it, but physics and box theory say that it is the weakest one because it goes up and over as opposed to the Mugen like below that just goes straight across.
Yes Toda, you do have to cut the panels on the Spoon one, but you have to cut the actually trunk piece for the Mugen one. See below. I felt a BIG differance one one i put it one. It sounds silly, but the whole car feels moer connected now.

I usually have my rear covers on, but i took them off for the sake of the pic. They do give you the rubber liner that goes around it. You should super glue it on.

thanks. That bar was my first mod that I ever to the car.
The Neuspeed front upper strut bar is in similar design to the Mugen one. Is the Neuspeed one better value for the money?
do they make covers for the JDM rear upper strut bar??
I'm running Spoon front and rear.
Mugen's are very nice but they are WAY heavier than Spoon.
I have Spoon for 6 yrs from my X-Delsol to my present Civic and I love them.
Used to have Mugen but since I swap them (Spoon/Mugen) and it doesn't make any difference between the two so I rather go lighter ones.

See my sig, but
Front Upper - Comptech
Rear Upper - Spoon (cause Comptech doesn't make one)
Rear Lower - Comptech.
I felt a huge difference with the rear upper. The rear end feels much better connected. At the limit, I feel much more connected with the car. I highly recommend it!
