Hi All,

I have a 97 automatic civic. I was driving on the highway yesterday and my car dropped out of overdrive. Today it would not go into overdrive at all. Does anybody know why and what I can do?

Is it throwing any check engine lights? How many miles and when was the last time the tranny fluid was changed?

 

I have approximately 61,500 miles on it, the transmission fluid was changed around 30,000 miles. There are no check engine lights that are lighting up (yet).

 

Could have a soft code that won't show yet, a dealer can run a diagnostic check on it usually for less than $100 and let you know what is wrong. The Odysseys and Accords have this problem but haven't seen it on a Civic.
