I'm sure there is no need beyond it "looks cool"
You can take the car on the track with drums (they're actually lighter), problem is they don't cool off and it kills the shoes way too quickly.
Only reason I swapped them is that the pads are easier to change than the shoes are, especially when killing them as quickly as lapping days do. The discs also seem to at least stay cool enough to not kill pads (more than likely its the fact that I can use Non-Honda pads that are intended for high temps).
Hot day + heavy car + track with a lot of braking is not going to be kind to the drums, but short of that, there's no valid reason to change them.... the car's got a 5:1 bias to the fronts anyways.

The reason for doing it is to learn more. The only mods I normaly do are sound systems, interior/exterior lighting. Do I need to change the master cylinder or is the one I've got fine. Thanks for the help and advise if you have anymore please let me know.
the one you have is fine, the hardest part is getting the e-brake cables to work. which isnt that hard at all. make sure you do a full bleed of your lines when youre donw.
I looked into it and was wondering if I should use the parts form the 05 SI instead of an 02/03 to do the conversion sense the rear lower arm knuckle part numbers match for the 05 SI and the 05 sedan.
