Default S1 trans for turbo

Im building a B16 turbo, and going for 500hp. Ive blew a gen 1 b16 trans which was a s1 (na). I think it was bad luck. My question is would it hold the power. Im planning on using an lsd not sure on which one yet, act extreme clutch, and stage 5 axles.

You'd be happier with a cable LS.

Just use the b16 trans and adjust your gearing using different sized slicks.

Amen
LS =
IF you are trapping to high for a b16 with huge slicks step to a GSR.

You'll stay in boost longer.. hell, I ran faster at the track NA with an LS tranny.

13.3@99 w/190whp

B16 1st gear sucks if you have a lot of power IMO

Oh god I can't wait till someone who has the willpower to post it gets to this.

So for a turbo car in your theory I should run a 2 gear setup one true 1:1 ratio and a shorter gear to get into boost for uber fast cause id be aways in mad boost y011!!1

expletive i'm sleepy.

If you can't get traction get slicks or do suspension work.

Shorter gears > longer gears its that simple.

wow, Cable LS isn't as bad as everybody thinks.. It has the same final drive as the Cable B16 tranny.. Don't get that Cable LS confused with the hydro LS that has the tallest gears of them all.

For a 500whp street driven car, 1st-3rd would be useless with a cable B16 S1 IMO
