The fuel pressure at idle is normal. Does this mean your fuel pump is still good.but w.o.t. feels kind of weak.
I know theres alot of different oppinions about this so give me what u got.

 

I have an h22a swapped eh2 with a very crappy fuel pump setup. Stock tank fuel pump with a cheaply wired inline fuel pump near the fuel filter.

I haven't gotten a fuel pressure test so I can't comment on that. I think that both pumps are going bad. I noticed that the louder the pumps got the more I lost power at WOT. I turned off the inline fuel pump and couldn't get the car to accelerate past 6000 rpm while in vtec. Flipped the switch on and it started to accelerate again.

 

If your car is old you may want to change your fuel filter. It doesn't really have a service interval as I understand it so it is offten over looked.

if you really want to know if your fuel pump is going bad then get your hands on a lab scope and do a current ramp on it...then look at the pump speed on your armature.....and then compare it to a good one...i think hondas have 8 armature where as if you get a really good after market one you have 10...you can also do a deadhead test...but i dont recommend it if you dont know what your doing..stock one should be about 80 psi, my bbk didnt stop and almost blew up my fuel pressure gauge when i did it..

 

Check fuel pressure with the vacuum line disconnected (FPR reading atmosphere) on the fuel pressure regulator and compare to spec.

 

also the way i done it .. is a volume test . cant remember the name of the actual technick but .. u normally fill a 12oz bottle of fuel in 30 seconds if it takes mroe then 30 seconds . its going bad . if in within 30 seconds ur ok . or at least ur FP is.. ill look for my tester guage and take a picture while i do mine

alot of mechanics would argue about this.
one will say
1.your feel pump either works good or dont work at all,it cant get weak.
another one would say it can be getting weak,youll probably have enough for idle but wont have enough at w.o.t. you wont be able to know because how the hell u gonna look at the fuel pressure gage while driving at w.o.t.

 

for form bad experience they can get WEAK . . just depends if the mechanic knows how to test it . cant fine my stuff since its scatterd everywhere . but ill post ALL-DATA instructions for u to trouble shoot tommorow

What was the pressure? Spec. is 40-47psi for non-vtec and 47-54psi for vtec.

 

44 on and 54 vacuum line off. I wonder if im running lean at w.o.t.

 

umm i dont know where you are getting ur information but my motor (gsr) runs roughly 42-44 at wot. (vacume line off). that is stock specs

You can watch and see if your fuel pressure is dropping while your on the dyno.!

Other than that just throw in a walbro if its botherin u that bad they aren't much money.
