Endyne supercharger for 2006 anybody yet?
So I was back on Endyn's website today, to be greeted by quite a bit of new information. They have finished that D series supercharger kit they were talking about. While it doesn't appear to be as crazy as they anticipated in the past, it does look awesome, using the m62 supercharger.
Anybody have one, or know somebody who does yet?

Thanks guys.

As far as I know, 2 of the kits have been sold so far. I bought one of them, and Larry is building a full on screamer using a D15 for another customer. Its a fully built motor with custom rods, Larry's pistons, fully ported head and lots of other stuff. It should hit the dyno soon.
Mine will be another month or more before I finish building the engine. Then the break in and tuning. Probably early to mid May before I start boosting.

We wait 5 years and this is what they give us? I don't know whether to be mad at them or embarassed for them. The best choice I ever made in my life was switching to a turbo. No more dealing with the whole web of bullshit that the JRSC community is tangled in.
Well they did release something, but nobody seems to know if anybody has one, or what it does on the dyno, or what it does in the 1/4 mile.
So yeah, kinda web-like confusion.

yeah! for real though, i'm sooo happy with my turbo. i think the sc could be great with the use of a tubro but alone forgetabout-it!

It's interesting how you can make statments liek this, w/o any reason or proof to back it up other than "hear"say.
what if people went around making up stories liek you were caught sucking some drunk bum's ****** lastnight and was gargling the last of it? would it mbe true or justified?
point is don't make statements liek that unless you have facts and proof and even then it's your opinoin not that of otehrs.

LOL, okay the scope of this thread was to find out if anybody is using one of Endyne's new superchargers. They look pretty promising, but I havn't heard anything about them yet.
this is hilarous. you talk crap to someone about something you have no reason being inviolved jsut to get your jolley's off./ nice e-thugin punk.
no oscer is right to a point. but i 'm willing to say its a proven fact that a turbo is simply more efficient. you might even be able to find that fact in a book some where. Sure you can make a bad *** supercharger set up but for the money a turbo will be more flexible. I can roll around at 6psi then simply flip a switch and instantly have 9psi or what ever I choose.

Well the biggest shortcoming is going to be the fact that it's still a roots blower. I think everyone was expecting a more efficient twin-screw design.
I don't know what it costs, but I know it's too much for what you get. Sure, you can squeeze out more efficiency than a stock Eaton blower, but if you're willing to spend an additional few thousand dollars for more efficiency, why not start out with a better form of FI to begin with (turbo)? What I mean is, if you want a "spirited" daily driver, throw on a supercharger and be done with it. If you want a fast car, throw on a turbo and be done with it. But why get a supercharger and spend all that money to still just have a supercharger? It's like the worst of both worlds.
Forget it. Endyn promised all kinds of crap and they didn't come up with anything. I mean, what is that kit anyway? A few aluminum plates welded together, whoopdie-do. Plus, what the hell is with that ugly s-pipe? I could build one of those in my garage in an hour. Except mine would be better, because I would at least TIG it instead of slapping on some MIG welds.
The only thing that intrigues me is the re-worked nose. I don't know what that is. I'm hoping it's something performance related, although it might just be a spacer to offset the new intake manifold and re-align the pulley with the crank.

Well the manifold on the JR kit sucks, and gives very uneaven air to each cylinder. Endyn spent some time on this and I just want to know how much better their manifold and S pipe are over the JR kit.
I know a twin screw would be best, but nobody makes those now. I'm already buying a boosted civic with GSR swap, so I don't need a turbo car. But I thought it would be fun to take a stab at supercharging.
I like to learn things on my own rather then from here-say. I believe all the negatives on the net about supercharging not being better, but I'd still like to see for myself.
I've ridden in a 99 civic si with JR kit, and that thing RIPS. Plus the sound of that supercharger whining is awesome.
