I don't know how much help you are gonna get posting this question here... I would post this in the EK section (96-00 Civic)... Not gonna lie, if the motor doesn't say K20, I can't help you :-/

a few members on 7thgencivic have done the D16y8 manifold swap on their D17's but nobody has made a DIY for it, also check out the new hondatuning they're building a D17 engine and they make a similar manifold for it

Its a DIY job but its not exactly a DIY job for the uninformed.... which is probably why no one has written it up. There's some port matching and moving of mounting holes, etc..... that should be left up to people who definitely know how to do it right rather than the hands of someone with a dremel and a handheld drill. Someone who knows what they're doing would be able to take the snippets of info that have been posted about what needs to be modified and know how to make it work without a bunch of pictures and formal step by step.
Its probably to keep the silly questions from people who shouldn't be attempting to do it from incessantly bugging those who know what they're doing well enough to pull it it off, AND/OR then start shooting blame at incomplete DIYs or not spelling something out that someone skilled would know just to do when the car blows up or something breaks.
Part of it is saving people from themselves, the other part is the liability of having to deal with it.
Just my take on it.....
