Default Nyce1s.com Presents... 560 WHP@19PSI/Project Ugly

This is one of our SPFWD entries. This is a 99 Civic SI Turbo built from bumper to bumper and tuned by Team Nyce. We were able to make 560 WHP at 19 PSI (at 9,000 RPM). We stopped there due to a faulty boost controller. Enjoy the pics and video footage!

Horsepower and Torque that peaks at peak rpm = Boost Creep.

Especially the Torque Curve...

Dave the heart breaker.

Glad you guys kept the fog lights though. What is the weight on the car? That engine bay is busy.

One Question I didn't see a cage. Is that one of the next projects for the car, nice looking car by the way. I'd hate to see what nice car must look like.

seems like some pretty good power, but the i am with superdave with the boost creeping. he is 100% correct with what he has stated, and the other thing is this engine must be really really serious ( big stroker, crazy compression, big cams etc.) to have a V.E like this thing does at only 4.3lbs over positive atmospheric pressure. all im tryin to say is that this engine would have to be capable of 250-260whp before boost for this to be possible. im not tryin to say your lying but superdave does have a very valid point.

The trq curve definetly shows an increase as the rpm increases...this happens when boost creeps....might not be alot but it is creeping some...

Good numbers....that kind of boost level with higher compression can yeild those numbers too...but its definetly boost creeping...

The car has a full exhaust with a dump switch to open up the exhaust at a certain location. Thanks to everyone for their comments. I'll keep you guys posted as to the progress of the car and what times it has layed down once we are able to make a few passes at the track. Thanks again.

isn't that against SPFWD class exhaust rules to run that kind of setup? Also, shouldn't the datalogs from what looks like AEM EMS show if boost was creeping?

The exhaust setup we are using at this time is only going to be used for now. Once it is time for SWFD competition the car will be in compliance as we have that exhaust ready and waiting. Also, the tuner "mark nyce" has the logs and he may be able to tell you if AEM EMS shows boost creep. I will let him know. He is usually not online but he may reply in this post.

because if its creeping at 19psi then its probably creeping at 16 and 17 psi also. pretty obvious answer.
