ZC motor Questions

Default ZC motor Questions

Is the ZC "dohc" motor vtech?.........
And can i still run a 91 SI sohc ecu on it?

no its not vtec...the only vtec zc out their is the 1.6 del so vtec zc swap...

Yea thats wat im lookin at....the del sol ZC.....they said it was v tech, but theres no ECU for it.....so can i still run the 91 obd0 SI? or ....am im screwd?

you can probably run the same ECU and use something else to engage vtec..

like a fields vtec controller..

what your asking is about the Dohc motor...its not vtec...only the single cam ones are...del so...

If its a dohc zc it will not be vtec.
If it is a sohc it could be or could not be.
One is like a z6 the other is like the d16a6.

You could use your ecu on any of them and run a vtec controller I reccomend not doing that. If it is a vtec its a great time to wire up to OBD1 also.
