Its no wonder people don't seem to mind waiting two or three weeks for me and my guys to work on their cars. Just the other day this car came in....I was told that this motor install (minime) was done at a local shop who's name I will not mention, only to maintain a good business myself. However, I have seen better work done by an amateur in the driveway. So I guess I was just amazed at how bad this was, and
Its always funny how people think that engine install prices are too high. Well Ill tell them to take it to this guy for cheap work next time I guess.
anyways check this out...
these wires are connected from the battery to a "nos" activated switch, and to the Vtec solenoid, hence "full throttle V-TAK"
and for some reason, a hardline oil feed to the head...yes its a 1.5 bottom end and a 1.6 vtec head....but I dont think you need this.
now I have to admit...I hve seen this before, and seen it work for along time...however If I paid a shop to install my engine and saw this.....I think I would take it back.....zip-ties.
Basically this is how I felt about the engine install....
and if you look behind the AC bracket you can see the result of it all....I was told the car hydrolocked....but whatever.
and one of the car before we began the teardown....

and this one cause, this is how I like the shop to look when I head out.....

i've seen some shitty work, somewhat like that. a very reputable shop in socal area (wont name them) installed gauges into a integra (basic autometer gauges w/ the cluster bezel)....and all the wiring is everywhere and powersources were spliced into numerous different sources things. Nothing was organized, wires were tangled in *****, wires were looping around other wires in circles. Very shitty job
it was a pain in the *** to pull the wiring and gauges out...took ALOT longer then needed. My little 8 yr old cousin could've done a better job. lol.
