Help: just sanded headlights and cleaned/polished wit plastix

Default Help: just sanded headlights and cleaned/polished wit plastix

i just sanded down my headlights wit 1000 grid then 2000...after i used meguires plastix cleaner/polish...but damn the headlights didnt come out clear...i buffed it out wit that plastix for a long time and it becomes clear a bit but still could see the scratches from the sandpaper pretty clearly...and after a day it becomes more noticeable...what can i doo?? thanks

Did you wet sand them horizontaly, if you didnt that might be why, post up some pics...

yeah did u wet sand it? or did u just sand it haha. Go re do it. every like 10 sec dip it in water again.

yeah try wet sanding them again and if possible use a high speed buffer with some compound that will cut through 2000 grit scratches but be careful not melt the plastic

sorry forgot to be more specific..well YES i wet sanded and dipped it in the water every 10 seconds or soo...i did it goin this way \ then i did it goin this way / ...i have no buffing tool soo i gota use my own elbow grease...and what compound do i get and where??

lol. buy a orbital and be done with it in 5 minutes with rubbing compund and plastic polish.

I had the same problem, until i used an orbital buffer and that fixed the dullness
