Default dented oil pan=low oil pressure???

Just wondering if a dented oil pan can cause low oil pressure. My vtec is not engaging, throwing code 21. I have a dent in my oil pan, and read somewhere that a dented oil pan can cause low oil pressure.

If it's dented enough to interrupt flow to the tube it's possible...

generally when you build a motor the typical clearance you leave for the pickup from the bottom of the pan is 1/4 to 3/8's of an inch. If you dented it around that pickup a little dent could make a big difference. Where is the dent?

the dent is half way between the edge of the oil pan (on the driver side) and the plug. and i just changed my oil a couple days ago.
