Default Cleaning 98-01 GSR wheels

I've got a set of GSR blades that I'd like to clean up a bit. They're not losing any of the clearcoat yet, they're not chipping, so I don't want to strip them and sand them down, just want to see if I can shine them up a bit.

I've tried Mother's Mag Aluminum polish, and it works, but it's alright. I used to use this stuff on my white Integra back in the day, and that ****** was almost neon after I was done it was so bright, just curious if it would be safe to use on wheels or if someone had a better idea. I was thinking about washing them with soap and water, obviously, then using this polishing compound, then following it with a coat of wax.

Thoughts?

i used mother's aluminum polish. Worked good, but prep work is more important. Use ur time, work slowly and do it right the first time.

i meant prep work as in if u ever sand them, u want to take ur time. Since ur not looking at doing this, disregard. I guess u could use car wax on them, but i dont think it'd do much. I would strip, polish and clearcoat it.
