I have an Si tranny in my 90 standard hatch.

Everything bolts right up.

The only thing I don't like about the Si tranny is the 5th gear. I wish it was a little taller, I'm at like 3500 RPMs when cruising at 65 on the freeway.

Yes, that's what I'm using, a CRX Si tranny in my STD hatch. It's the same tranny as the hatch Si and I think the manual EX sedan as well.

you can swap the tranny , not the axles . if you swap axles you will have to swap hubs also ..

Wrong. It's a direct replacement. Axles and all. You don't have to swap the hubs or anything like that.

I thought with a STD hatch in order to throw a motor in, u need to change the front spindles in order for the axles to fit cuz the STD hubs are a differnet axle size now thats only with STD, dx u dont have to change. when i first got my std hatch i replaced my axles and i had the 4speed tranny at the time and i ordered axles for a si tranny thinking they were the same and they didnt fit.. so i had to return them and then specify and tell them that it was for a 4speed not 5.

I used the stock axles from the 4 speed tranny and they slid right into the Si tranny.

They have been working fine for me.

well what year was your std? was it 89-91 if so then the std axles would've worked fine if not then you had to swap them. i have the crx si l3 trans in my 90 hatch and i am running a crx si clutch by exedy and no problems.

I am 99% sure the EX has a 4.08 FD while the si has 4.25 and the DX has 3.888. The HF is alot taller than any of them.......

listen,,All the axles have the same inner joint..So you can use the STD/HF axles in the other trannys.. The difference with the STD/hf axles is on the outer joint of the axles ,,being smaller then the rest..

With my ZC transmission im at about 4500 going 90 MPH. When I had my race muffler on it was deafening driving home 4 hours from the track

That ended up being a huge roadblock in my swap, when halfway through I found out someone had put standard hubs on my SI a long time ago. I was quite mad.

What kind of bad luck is that?
