2006 Civic Si in Autocross
Yesterday, I competed in the Houston Region SCCA Autocross. Although it was my rookie debut, my new Civic Si was a contender in its class (G-stock). The limited-slip diff finally had a chance to prove its worth. Even when the car would drift slightly, I managed to maintain control and power through the turns - except for a couple times when I pushed it a little too hard and slid sideways out-of-bounds...lol
Being the only 2006 Si at the event, my car got lots of attention from the competition, and even more attention when it was screaming around the course. Needless to say...By the end of the day, some of the other drivers in my class were considering a new Si of their own.
My friend also entered his RSX-S and had some decent times. He seemed a little faster in the straight-aways, but didn't have the same cornering ability, which led to slightly slower overall time. His car ran well too, though.
For anyone out there who wants to see what your new Si (or RSX) is capable of...I would definitely suggest entering your local Autocross competition. It's a great way to push the limits of the car in a safe, controlled environment. And it's an absolute blast!!!

That was a slow lap. I can't really say that it was a good indicator of ability.
