If you're on a stock bottom end for a b-18c5 you need to change out those pistons. Toda C's LOVE compression.

edit: Oops didn't see that you had rollerwave pistons

I'd say try a different ECU program. If you can go with a hondata setup.

did you tune the car or just dyno it once? Don't expect tons of power just by throwing together a bunch of expensive parts. I know a couple people who do that..their car isn't running as good as they thought it would with their new setup so they keep buying more and more parts when all they have to do is spend a little time making what they have work properly.

Have a pic of the dyno graph?

Gotta bump that compression up man. I went through the same thing on stock compression with Spec B's. Higher compression is a must!!!

the head's porting is probably limiting you, as is TB size i'd presume. Other than that.... tune that **** with someone that knows how. C's are one of the hardest mods to tune in the import scene.

He already has high comp. pistons! I think you should invest in a better engine management system. Either PowerFC or Hondata and find someone that knows their **** when it comes to tuning those ECU systems.

why anyone need 440cc fuel injectors for a N/A car is beyond me............310cc is perfect for the Toda Spec C cams.

I use 440's. The Hondata system handles them just as easily as it does the 310's. They are rougly the same price and you can just run regular fuel pressure (45 PSI static). If you ever decide to go forced induction, that is one part that you won't have to repurchase

that's cool.........but he's not using hondata.......i would think 440cc would be a **** load of fuel and would require lots and lots and LOTS of tuning to get it to run right........am i wrong?

You are probably right. There is no way that he could lean out the fuel enough with just the VAFC. Those 440's dump a lot of fuel. I installed mine just before I installed and tuned the Hondata, and the car would not idle with the ECU untuned.....way too much fuel.

i think the 440s are a little overkill unless you are running about 20lbs of fuel pressure...
i run 310s and my pressure is about 40 psi and still tuning it down
i also would look into another program or engine management
they arent the easiest cams to tune but once you hit that sweet spot
LOOK OUT!!!

your exhaust may be restrictive. Was their a method you used when you tuned.? IE Did you play with timing , then cam gears, then fuel? Look at your graph it should tell you what you are missing..

Toda C's are overrated as far as I'm concerned but I do think you should be squeezing out more power for sure. The 440's are probably way too much and you are drowing your engine. Look at your air fuel ratios. You are going to need a minimum of a true 2.5" exhaust. I hope your valvetrain is up to snuff. good luck

Please don't say that the 310's are fine without actually being able to look at the injector duty cycle...according to the PowerFC I was at 98% duty cycle while at the EXPO last year...and this was on the Spec B's. You need the 440's with the Spec C's....either that or you will be running some really high fuel pressures.

I was running 370cc injectors w/ my TODA C and was getting 101% duty cycle all across the board at WOT. Might want to upgrade the fuel pump ...I did and it helped out a lot w/ duty cycle numbers.
