that motor is supposed to also be in the new RDX suv from acura. its a 2.3 turbo with 240 hp and some nice tq numbers thanks to the boost. now thats a motor to swap into a car.

If this is real, then w00t. SH-AWD 2.3-T RSX? I think this is what I asked for in that other thread on the subject....

Honestly doubt it, though. And i can only make out one or two characters from that page :S

The article is speculation. It claims that the new RSX will borrow the K23T engine to build the new RSX with SH-AWD. Almost don't even need to read the chinese to see this. But I guess it helps a tad.

The confusing parts is the reference to the 2.2 and stroking it to 2.3 because according to specs on the RDX concept it is a 2.3 to begin with. Unless they mean they are destroking the rdx to 2.2... but it isn't written that way.

this sort of makes sense. although, at the same time, its more confusing. if the new Si is to put the rsx out of production, then an upscale remake of the integra/rsx is only logical for acura. putting a turbo on a car like this is obviously going to push the price up to where the evo and sti are sitting, which is a very viable market these days. however its confusing because if they do that, then why wouldnt they just redesign the car completely...

but if it makes it here, ill buy.

The RDX is a 2.4 destroked to a 2.3. Maybe they are saying they are stroking a RSX motor.

I concur. This is all BS. This will never actually happen. Maybe a concept car will come of it but it will never actually go into production. Honda is known for N/A beasts and good gas mileage that is what the company is built on why would that do this to the RSX model which they are discontinuing anyway?

Same company has a gas hog truck and sport-utes now. Not sure a turbo car is too far off. It's not the same Honda of the 80's.

Well, they will just have to be a company that produces good turbo motors that get good gas mileage as well then...
