Almost 10's , Stock LS head :) TRACK TIMES!
well. i went to Richmond Dragway today got 4 runs in with my car.. which is a 92' DX EG hatchback w/ shitty suspsension open diff.... the car was street tuned on 21psi. My 3/4 syncro's are basicaly toast, you have to preload 3/4th to get it in gear. I lept missing them tho .. passes were on 25x8x13 M&H's
I couldnt find my 1st and 2nd slip... they are in my car somewhere but here are my 3rd and 4th. On my 1st run i babied the car off the line getting a 1.98 60ft time, shifting at 6500 and shifting VERY slow so my tranny would go in gear. Trapped 98mph in the 1/8th and ran a 11.7 @ 122 in the 1/4

With a clean pass and at a better track, i should easily see 10's w/ the setup
every pass 3rd or 4th or both would hang up due to syncro's. When i would miss the gear it would fall out of boost and get back into it.

We might be takeing it to VMP next week, its a lot faster track but I'll have 1 shot at running a 10 there. They are NHRA now and I dont even have my cage installed yet!!

10's are commin soon, EASY. Im still getting Cams, Camgears, Intake Manifold and throttlebody. And we are gonna retune it on race gas. this was on pump gas.

Not bad it is possible mine is stock as well and I trap 137+ with basicly same setup ... on pump it trapped 126. IT DOES 10's I am proof of that

Yea man, on a clean pass it should have trapped 126-128. I was also on Pump gas.

This proves you dont "NEED" anything special to run 10's w/ a LS motor!

Bet it does..
I used to run mid-high 11s all day with stock ls motors and b.s engine management setups...Never blew one up and had alot of fun doing it... Good to see a built one runnin this strong though..I am always conteplating building a piston/rod ls motor, but stock ones are so damn cheap and fun...

yeah it was a bad tranny. 3rd and 4th get hung up real bad w/ heavy load of the car being boosted. the syncro's are toast. I'm ordering some bad *** aftermarket syncro's for my 3rd and 4th soon tho

my LSvtec made 366 trappin 125. My guess is 400 range.
we will see tho, i'll be dynoin' soon to get a base before adding the 404 cams

Also guys this tune is Extremely conservative as far as timing goes. Espescially since he has a 84mm bore. Soon we will be taking it to the dyno with race gas and it will be making quite a bit more power
