Default My new CRX, thanks grandpa!

here is the CRX my grandpa gave me, sorry no interior shots. That looks better than the exterior. There are two pictures of the rust spots in the left rear quarter panel. Tell me what you think of it for a free first car. It definetly needs to be clay-barred and polished up. I will do that after i have those rust spots fixed. It might even get a coat of paint, any suggestions? I think red or black, or something exotic. I like the House of Kolor stuff a lot. And those wheels if anyone wants them will "someday" be for sale. What do you guys think I could get for em? like 150?

P.S. Sorry about the photos, the way the cars were parked and with the sun, I couldnt get very good ones.

What is the name of that color red from Honda? I was considering factory red for a repaint, what's the technical name for that, and where could I get it mixed up in that shade?

Looks good. I would straighten it up a little bit and then just drive and enjoy it. Those wheels might fetch $150, but probably a lot less than that

Man... just looked at your album. The car is really nice and as soon as you can remove the lil moulding that is in your rear wheel wells. That strip holds alot of water/dirt/salt.

Your car kinda makes me miss red. Oh and you can also get some bumper black paint to freshen up all that trim.

woah...who said that, i've never seen an OEM USDM Si, or any crx, with color matched mirrors or door handles or any trim...

my canadian Si did indeed have color matched door handles and the mirrors, now i dont know if that was an OEM canadian thing or just someone painted them before i got it, but i do believe the canadian Si-Se's came with the matched mirror/door handle...

thanks for all the compliments guys. I love this little car, and will even more once she gets cleaned up. I was looking at that Duplicolor bumper paint to use on the trim? is that a good idea or not? I know a guy with a body shop that wants to help me out with it. I have decided to keep it Rio Red and stil havent decided what wheels. First is to fix the paint and the rust.

P.S. goCRXgo, I did flip out when he said it was mine, but then he had a tuneup done to it with clutch and belts and waterpump, brakes and everything else. Actually old gramps is pretty cool.
