Wow! Touring race was awesome!!
Dang, that race from Sebring is frigging awesome!!
You gotta see it if you haven't already... won't give out the result, since some might have not seen it.

Did you hear what Pierre say???
He said "I am hoping to get the RSX. We have done everything to this car etc..."
I still think that RSX has a huge potential which we have yet to see.

Very sweet race.
So Foo is with Maz-da now. Boy, did Honda miss out.
Just curious...have any of you ran on Sebring? What lap times have you ran in your ITRs?

I feel so left out,
Where can I see it? Is it on Speed channel? If so when will this race air?
I hate my local cable, we had digital for 2 years at the old house.

If you ever find the time to attend a Touring Car or a GT race, do it!!! Even if you have to drive 300 miles, it's still worth it.
I attended both races at Road Atlanta during October of last year and was blown away. The sound is unreal (Porches and Vettes are LOUD!) and the experience of seeing your favorite cars and drivers going all out on the track is unparalleled. I was able to sneak onto pit lane with my friend to watch the standing start of the GT race: the sound shakes your entire body and you are surrounded by the heat and exhaust of 15+ race engines. Being able to witness an M3 spinout on the front straight at 120+ (only yards away), stand next to and inspect Roger Foo's Civic post-race, and speak to the surprisingly-friendly mechanics and technicians who work on Le Mans Prototypes and Sportscars is awesome. I'm sure Cosworth and other race attendees on this board can back me up. HIGHLY recommended.

The last SCCA Club Race that was run there the fastest ITS time was 2:34 to give you an idea. I've run on Sebring a few times but never timed.
A 2:34 in comparision with an ITS car is
It was awesome indeed. The last few laps was the best. You got to see the battle up front, Dobson in 2.5 BMW and Pierre Realtime ITR. Petey C. came in 3rd in ITR as well. I was very surprise the Jetta did so well. Merc C240 had the problem early in the first few laps. Mazda seem to be well but not a match for Realtime ITR.
Dobson was in the front until the last lap which was overtook by Realtime ITR. It was very interesting to see how the strategy of driving works so well in this type of racing.
Roger Foo was foo-ing around in the middle with the rest of the people. Taz Harvey did well inspite of the crushed hood. Good job to all driver who servived the Sebring.

I loved the front camera shot showing Cunningham spin in the NSX at the start of GT. Looked smooth!!

Yes, it was the most exciting WC Touring race I've seen. Competitive from beginning to end. Even more exciting than GT.
The news article on WC website made it sound like Pierre was in 2nd the whole race and only won on the last lap. Instead, he lead like 3/4s, lost the lead, then got it back on the last lap. Amazing on the final lap when he was leading, ran over the curb off the track, got all squirrely, yet still kept the lead!
The duel between Cunningham and VW for 3rd was exciting too. Hopefully Cunningham keeps racing Touring. We could see some 1-2 finishes!
Realtime is going to run a 2nd NSX in GT soon. Wonder who will be the driver? Pierre?

HondaVtech - were you the one we got Realtime autographs for? (on the body parts?)
Did anyone catch the two awesome saves mid-pack? One was a BMW and the other was Foo man who went 90 degrees and kept it on track without hitting anyone! That was so cool.
I was disappointed with the Merc Benz - really cool looking car - looks like they have some sorting left to do. Fitz did pretty well in the Lexus - it looks like a really smooth car.
This is going to be an awesome season. I can't wait for Road America!
