I want to put dual exhaust on my Crx but i wanna do it myself and not pay too much for parts, any suggestions/guidence to do this right and have it look nice? Are there any exhaust systems you could recommend? or has anyone done this themselves and can give me some tips? Or heads-up on problems they ran into?

Why would you want to do something like that??

crx is a in-line 4 cylinder car. dual exhaust is for V-6 or V-8.

Start off by making one side first, try kteller.com for exhaust. Its not going to be easy though, specially if you have to ask. Problems will be on the left side cause exhaust is not ment to be run on that side

 

just extra weight...

 

don't do it... you'll end up regretting it later and taking it off..

 

the dude i bought my ed7 from did this, i'll post pics when i can to give you an idea. He basically used a magnaflow muffler that had one inlet and two outlets and threw it on sideways like the stock one. try to figure out the rest. it actually has a nice tone to it and doesnt look to bad or ricey, but its not my style so as soon as i get the cash, GREDDY BABY!!

 

i dont like the look of the single "coffee can" exhaust coming out the back of my little crx, ive always been a big fan of american muscle cars and wanted to see the concensus about the dual exhaust idea i'll play with it somemore, and make a decision, but you have to admit it would look cool.

 

nah it wouldint look cool at all... ive seen it a million times leaving the movie theater after watching fast and furious

there are a bunch of companies that make a dual tip muffler those look nice and clean but no matter whta you do it not gona look right cuz your never gona be able to make the cut out for the other tip look like it was from the factory



you will have to do a lil searching, could probaly find it on ebay but here a company that makes a dual exhaust setup

You might lose power, unless you have like 250+ hp. Don't even think about it.

well if ur a american muscle fan then u should know that you are going to need two headers cause thats true daul exhaust what u want is y pipes and that is not meant for a crx but to each his own do u also want to buy a apc body kit? and some neon lights perhaps a big spoiler and mybe some windsheild washer lights with some GtR badges

si0385 the third picture you posted would be the best route for him to go.

 

This one would look decent..And try and cut the other side of the bumper = to the oem hole..Im not a big fan of it,,but its your car..This is the one I wanted when I was in that stage..

^^^^ thats what mine looks like, but more homemade it looks decent but i still cant wait to get it off, what sux is that i need to get a new bumper too, because its cut.
