Default Do I have to take out the Transmission and Axles?

If I put a ZC in my 91 Civic Si, do I REALLY need to pull the wheels off, axles out and remove the transmission? I've read that is the easiest way, but it sure looks easier to unbolt the trans from the engine and leave the wheels and all where they are...

Am I missing something? I know some of the engine mounts are on the transmission.

trust me the best thing to do is hank it all out. after you do it a couple of times it is second nature only takes like an hour. i have done a engine swap with leaving the tranny in the car, it is alot harder then to just pull it all out. good luck
