Default OT: Looks like I totalled it his morning...

I was taking the I35S exit ramp on the 635W in Dallas and hydroplaned on that damn grooved concrete. Spun twice and got hit head-on by a Ford F-350 at 60 mph. The impact spun me again and I smacked the outside retaining wall at about 40. Both airbags, but no injury. To humans, anyway...
The front right of my Integra is GONE! The engine was obviously knocked off the mounts, my radioator exploded, one axle was broken and we think the transaxle was crushed. There was every type of fluid on the ground, including oil and red stuff (brakes or steering). Of course the windshield was broken by the airbag... Crazy thing is, both doors closed and lined up!
Anyway, being a holiday weekend, an adjustor won't be able to check it out until Monday. So it's sitting at the Dallas PD impound lot... With my new ITR suspension in the trunk!
The cop was cool, and I didn't get a ticket or anything, and this super nice young Mexical couple stopped to help me out and lent me their cell phone to call my relatives. Even the people I hit were nice (even though they didn't speak much English, so I had some trouble getting their info).
I was dead embarrassed... Police, ambulances, fire truck. It looked worse than it was. Nobody hurt. Still, the cop said it was probably totalled (he's seen enough crashed cars to make a call, I guess).
It sucks. I just didn't expect to hydroplane tlike that. Maybe I was going too fast for conditions, but if I went any slower, I would have been run over... There WERE 48 accidents in the Dallas metro area between 6 am and noon, which is some kind of record, according to the news. It sucks out there, my friends.
Anyway, if it's totalled I'm paying off the loan and just buying a Volvo wagon or someting I don't have to make payments on. At least for a couple of years...
SO anyways, I just had to vent.
And my damn chest hurts like a sumbitch from the seatbelt. Gonna be sore tomorrow...

Good to see you are ok. I hate driving in Dallas, especially around where you had the wreck. It is always backed up over there and the people normally drive insane.

glad to hear that ur okay even tho the teg is wrecked. i know the feeling when i wrecked mine. traffic sucks here anyways, then add the weather conditions, its worse (refering to over 60 accidents in a relative short period of time)
were u just visiting or do u live here?
were u seen at a local ER?
hope u had full coverage

sounds like the teg is totalled. start planning now.
BTW, i know someone who may be interested in ur ITR susp set up.

now is your chance to start out with an EG and go hybrid or at leat have a track car that is light and a good performer even with a SOHC VTEC motor on the right suspension

Glad you were not hurt, sorry to hear about your accident, that still sucks
