Hi honda- tech members i have a 89 ef hatch with about 300,xxx miles on it and i just pulled the stock 1.5l d15b2 Dp and my boy gave me a 1.6l d16y7 with about 45,xxx. now im doing a homemade turbo kit and i was wondering what is the best turbo to go with 14b or t-25? i need some feedback on someone that has already done this or is going to do the same swap? also the motor comes stock with about 106hp and i was wondering with one of them turbos how much hp would i have then runing about 6-8psi on stock engine? im not trying to go too fast just a lil faster then my old stock 1.5l motor did.. thanks in advanced member...
14b is a better turbo..Make sure you get good management and have it tuned though if you want it to last and make power..
I've heard that 1lb of boost is 10hp, but I mean that is an average number, some people could have give or take on that number, but its a good est. to go with.
60$ Is a good deal on the t-25, especially rebuilt. It should spool fairly quick. Get your ecu chipped and run turboedit. If your interested i have a bosch blow off valve for sale, let me know.

hopefully that isn't a lie though cause i've been tricked before so make sure that this turbo was rebulit cause it take much more than 60 bucks to rebuild on or evenhave one rebuilt........i was recently running sohc turbo in my crx the 14b was more responsive than the t-25 in my opinoin based on a race against me with my 14b setup vs my friends crx with a t-25 setup and not to bragg but i spanked him......its a good turbo got rid of it though since i now want bigger and better things you will eventually feel the same way....good luck though
