Ok well here's another low mileage, but not mint condition item I got from work. Gotta love working at Acura

2002 S2000 with 28,562 miles came in with a knocking sound from the engine. I diagnosed it as a bad rod bearing, and ordered a new block/bottom end. It wasn't a warranty job, and since I was the tech the repair, I decided to buy the old block/bottom end.
I haven't actually removed the oil pan to get to the rods, and bearings, to inspect. But the knocking sound, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being no noise, 10 being holy crap it's going to blow up), I'de rate it as a 4-5. Again, since I haven't actually inspected the condition of any of the bearings, I offer this scale as reference to how bad it is.
This bottom end does come complete. Timing chain/guides, knock sensor, crank pulley, used oil filter/headgasket
. Basically it's what you see in the pics, and like I said, I never opened it up. Everything is there.
On that note, I'm selling for best offer. I'll also be posting this on S2KI and see what responses I get over there. Block will be shipped in the original box the new one came in from Honda, and will be shipped via UPS ground. Or if you're local, we can arrange pickup (much easier for me anyway).

Seems like the going rate is about $400+ for the condition and mileage. So I'm going to say $400 FIRM. I won't take anything less. I pretty much already sold my RSX S block and tranny, so that's some money to hold me over...not as desperate to get rid of this That price doesn't include shipping though, of course. Yah I'm beginning to think that. I'm annoyed because I joined S2KI and made some posts before (when I was looking to buy an S2000 oh so long ago), but I guess it wasn't enough to allow me to post a for sale ad? I'de get so many more views from the right poeple on there...oh well I'll just keep bumping it on here.
Want it? I'll let it go for cheap since you're close Heck I don't care if you turn around and sell it for more on there, or anywhere. I just want it out of my basement...and I could use the money.

Well again I forgot about this thread...looks like I had some interest back in June, but never knew about it. Well this is the last big item I still have sitting around. If anyone is interested, PM me. Or even better, just straight up email me. kjw239@email.com . That way I'll def be sure to get it as I check my email more often then I do HT. Still for sale and taking up room in my basement. As usual, not desperate to get rid of it, but could use the space. Thanks!
