Default Best I/H/E combo?

I've been shopping the market for a few months now and been looking mainly at this setup:

JG Edlebrock Header
Injen CAI
Comptech Exaust

These companies have posted the highest gain in power and torque. I was wondering if anyone has these products and what there thoughts on them were.

I'll just be the first to say... do a search! I have got reminded of that time and time ago, and after searching I have found great results. There isn't gonna be a definite answer to your question. I think it more depends on your budget and what not. As for intake, I was considering InJen, but I posted on it and almost everyone said either AEM or Comptech Icebox, and after getting my AEM CAI, I can say that I truly love it and it was worth the cash. Good luck..

The intake and exhaust are good choices but I would get the JDM 4-1 headers and a high flow cat.

I say AEM cold air intake, DC Sports 4-1 header and 5Zigen Fireball cat-back exhaust, although we have a Tanabe G-Power Medallion on the Si. I just heard good things about the 5Zigen, but I love the sound of the Tanabe. Just my $.02.

If you can afford it, you could get a hytech exhaust system.

Its a hybrid header (midrange of a 4-2-1, top end of a 4-1), carsound highflow cat, and catback system. They got a 20whp boost on a TypeR from the header alone, and the system actually runs cleaner than stock.

Downside is it costs a lot of money, The header, custom 2.5" Carsound cat, 2.5" b-pipe (resonated), and twin-pass muffler goes for $2000.

The BEST is dependent on what else you have done to your powertrain and how *legal* you want to remain.

If you are otherwise stock, an AEM/DC/GReddy is a good, standard set-up. All parts are 50-state legal, too.

If you decide to really drop some $$$ on your ride, then there are other decisions to be made.

the way i see it is like this.....some people love to drink, some love to collect things, but if you're on this site you love your car most likely.......and over a period of time you spend well over a $1,000

Yes spending 1000 on these boltons is ridiculous. But you have to get these boltons if you want to make power later down the road with more extensive work. Gotta make the car breath better before you can make it work harder.

To give you guys a hint of what boltons can do to your GSR...

My first dyno run. STOCK GSR with AEM CAI w/Bypass Valve

My second dyno run. AEM CAI w/OUT Bypass valve, JDM 4-1 Header, 2.5 inch carsound cat, Apexi N1 Cat-back, removed PS belt.

And the overlay, sorry so shitty.
