ebay parts
Im short on cash, looking on ebay for parts. they have some cheap a** stuff. should i trust them. lets say a short shifter, is there a difference between ebay and quality ones. or
i bought an ebay short shifter(even good ones not worth it IMHO) and i went to shift hard to second and i snapped it in half...i go to take a look at the inner part of the shifter...it looked like sand..it was crappy material...def not the "titanium blah blah 55000 x2" material they claim...
save your money and do it right the first time. do not half *** anything, you will pay for it later x2.
<----learned the hard way (h&r sport springs on stock shocks, no camber kit = a ******* waste of money. now i need to go back and put new springs and camber kits on)

just get a good name brand off ebay I got a skunk2 shifter and **** for a hundred bucks the shifter alone retails for more than that. you just have to watch for the deals. the five dollor ones are basically the same APC shifter you get at auto zone. I would go with what they said above do it right the first time and you get what you pay for.

Yeah that has nothing to do with ebay..Most name brand and non name brand shifters are made out of billet aluminum which is going to break right at the top under the shiftknob if you shift like a moron on crack..If you're worried about braking shifter then get a solid steel shifter..
But as far as ebay with headers, exhausts, shifters, cam gears,seats,etc..Theres some that are complete garbage and others that are of good quality just have to pick and choose what you buy and watch out who yuo buy it from..

Actually the exhausts are pretty good..Alot of them look ugly though..But the tsudo/obx for honda/acura are 2.5",full stainless, and come with new gaskets..I got my obx crx catback for $130..Sounds decent even without cat and survived 3 winters in NJ..And the one on my current car is tsudo..The headers are iffy though..It really depends there..Ive seen some that come in warped and just not what the seller says it is..

I'v bought alotta things off ebay so far soo good. just don't buy any cheap no name brands there are alotta good companies on ebay. I have never seen a skunk2 manifold anywhere as cheap as ebay, at least not any retail place, 240 shipped!
ebay is GREAT!! but you need to be very careful!!! like they said, short shifter example, i got one on ebay for like $10, broke in a month! got a skunk2 shifter - perfect, so if you buy off ebay, make sure you are getting name brand
I consider Koni's performance, got em on Ebay. B&M short shifter with bushings, got it on Ebay. SI Industries Stainless Steel valves, got em on Ebay. K&N filter, got it on Ebay. Ebay is great if you follow some simple rules.
Do yourself a favor and research what parts that you need first and how they will work together for your particular build goals. Search for the quality that you want and then go and look for them on Ebay.
First thing to do when you find them on Ebay, is to look at the seller's approval rating, it is listed as a number on each seller. You should go ahead and look at the feedback provided by other customers and look at the item that they purchased. Don't buy items from someone that has only a few transactions.
If the seller is selling knockoffs, the item description will usually have the word 'style' in it, BEWARE. For example, a DC 'style' header blah, blah, blah.
Cliff Notes: Research what items would work together for your performance goals.
Research different brands to find the one with the quality that you want.
Find the brand name products on Ebay that you want.
Research the seller and his feedback.
Read the description carefully, especially for the word 'style'.
Pay with credit card or paypal so you have some protection.
One more thing, before you purchase off Ebay, CHECK THE PERFORMANCE FORUM FIRST FOR VENDORS, SUPPORT THOSE WHO SUPPORT HONDATECH!!!

If you're going to get a cheap shortshifter, don't even bother getting one.
I had a b&m, no bends made out of steel, it was a nice shifter,
but the whole no bend part + me being lazy, didn't work out good lol.
I put in a stock gsr shifter, Barely feel any difference, & I like it better.
But yeah, most stuff on ebay, you just have to check it out a little bit,
Most things on Ebay are actually good, it's just cluttered by a Lot of bad.

I have a Skunk2 short shifter, I previously had a Hurst, and before that I had a DC. The only shifter that hasn't pissed me off has been the Skunk2. I didn't like the feel of the Hurst, or the quality of the DC. Go with a Skunk2, you will not be disappointed. I have heard horror stories about Ebay shifters breaking, especially when you have a heavy shift **** like mine (skunk2, 440 grams). BTW by Ebay shifters, I mean the no-name cheap ones. As stated above, if you do your homework, and know what you need, Ebay is a great place to shop, but, always check HT sponsors first.

if your looking at short shifters...it doesnt matter what brand it is...
try to find one thats not made of aluminum...get one that is steel...
aluminum is weak and will snap due to shifting hard
