HIGH REV AT IDLE (please help)

Default HIGH REV AT IDLE (please help)

when i start the car up and my foot is on the clutch its idling at about 1000 rpm's but as soon as i let my foot off the clutch it jumps up to 2 grand. whats causing this?? please help asap.

is it cold in arkansas at this point? cause if it is then it may just be your FITV causing your car to idle high to warm itself up. if you can drive your car for like 20 mins to get it warm, and then it doesnt do it anymore, than it means your car is doing what it is supposed to. if it still is all jumpy after that, then you should rebuild or replace your Fast Idle Thermo-Valve.
