Default Will any 88-91 Cluster fit in 88 4 door?

I need to find a cluster with a tach and was just wondering if all the 88-91 civic/crx clusters will fit/plug right in. I have a 88 Civic 4 door. TIA

88-89 will fit can't say the wiring is the same although most people will say it is. Best thing to do is write down pin-out location from the cluster you will install and compare to what you have. Depending on the cluster it may be plug and play, but compare wire color/location just to be sure. Good luck.

yup. plug n play. its when going from 88-89 to a 90-91 cluster [ or vise versa ] that you need to worry about wiring

That makes sense but his question does not, 88-91 clusters are not the same.

all 88-89 clusters will work in 88-89 cars, the speedos are all cable driven, 90-91 there are a few minor pin changes in the harnesses, any 88-89 cluster (dx,si) with a tach will work without depinning the harnesses that clip into the back of the cluster (assuming you have an 88-89), same applys to 90-91, search for the 99-00 civic si cluster into a crx thread (which also contains pinouts for the civic as well) on here to find the pin out chart for the year car you have if you are going between 88-89 to 90-91 or vice versa.
