I was at the races the other day and there was this one hatch that had great launches at 4000 rpm. He told me he had a 2 step ignition box? MSD I think. Does this make any sense? Where can I get more info? Thanks.

 

He is using the MSD box with launch control. The box limits the RPM to a preset amount until the car starts moving. Hondata stage 3 does the same thing.
