california tinting
I know that the front windows must allow more than 70% of light in and the rest it doesnt matter.
My buddy went to get his tint done like 3 months ago, 30% all around. He sort of knew it was illegal, but the tint shop didnt stop him.
He just got a ticket, so now we're deciding to ask for the tint shop to redo it lighter for free maybe, since he has a lifetime warranty.
Do you think the tint shop was suppose to say something?

the shop is going to do whatever you ask them to. how the hell do they know whether or not you're going to drive it on the street or if it's going to be just for the track??? it's the consumer's job to find out what the laws are specifically and to deal with the consequences of their action. however, i do feel that any reputable shop should, at the very least, mention the laws.

1. who tints their car JUST for the track
2. the tint shop has to let the customer know ahead of time before doing it if its illegal tint, and leave it up to the customer to decide
to the op, if the tint shop didnt mention anything to ur friend who got the tint done or if there was nothing stated in the paper work about them not being responsible for the illegal tint, then ur friend will be able to get his tint re-done for free or take them to court and have them pay for ur buddy's ticket
