had them in my all motor b16. i spun one of them but the reason wasnt the bearing's quality... massive load of oil into the intake (funked pcv valve...)

Well acl are good but for the little difference from them to B18C bearings i'd go for the OEM b18Cs. they are better resistant to general abuse.

I read somewhere that "earl" said that if you have aftermarket rods its a pain to find the right honda berings to fit.

thats really odd for earl to says since there are 5-6 diffrent sizes honda offers so you can almost always find the correct size/clearence you need........with ACL your pretty much stuck with one size fits all.

Man check tolerances and if they arent so cool dont install the acls (i think they only come in green anyone knows this?). Get the correct match of bearings. If you are out of spec then u may need to take the crank to get machined.

I know this will cost more but its better to spend a lil more than to funk your rods and crank

ACL also makes an uncoated race bearing. ACLs come in standard (= honda green) +0.25mm (0.010"), +0.50mm (0.020") and also come in HX for expanded oil clearance--gives you 0.001" more clearance. ACL is a bearing supplier to many OEM companies so they are just as good if not better than the oem honda bearings. Have them in my motor, good oil pressure--runs well.

eagle rods are the same internal diameter at the big end as #3 honda rods, so if you have your old rods look at them and see what the number is on the outside of the rod, half the number is on the rod the other half is on the cap. Its only etched on one side. If your rods are all #3 then you can use the exact same bearings just order new ones from HONDA.
