New Personal Best. 10.4@143mph
Well, last night went to the local track and ran my personal best 2nd time out with the car EVER!. 25x8.7x13 slicks. Please give me some pointers on how i can improve. Is this mostly track prep to get the 330' down lower. Notice that the 1/8mph track is not high at all compared to the 1/4mph trap.
60': 1.677 (best 60' ever for me)
330: 4.628
1/8th: 6.905 @ 108.2mph
1000: 8.823
1/4: 10.402 @ 143.47 (new personal best
)
Getting closer toward my goal of 9.99. Don't know if i have the power to do it, but more power is not hard to find.
Here's the first time out with the car and setup

Pointers or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul

No pointers for ya here sorry
. Just a congrats
. Does your boost controller have the ability to adjust how the boost for each stage comes in? (I.e. jump to the next PSI immediatly vs. gradually build up to the next psi level)

I don't belive my boost controller has this feature.

I'm using the flywheel that comes with the Competition clutch twin disc. BTW, nice meeting ya last night.

Just asking because, I tuned a car not to long ago with a Greddy Profec and it has that feature (they call it "balance" or something like that) and I had to adjust it to transition smoother to keep the wheel spin to a minimum. I was doing 3rd gear pulls while street tuning the car and with the **** all the way to the aggressive side (boost going from low to high setting immediatley) it would just spin the hell out of the tires. I toned it down a lil' and got it to transition very smoothly. I'm sure the same theory can be used on the track.

From the looks of your slip I say it was hooking just fine. You alsways want some wheelspin in the lower gears as long as it's still pulling. If it dead hooks in every gear then you start breaking parts and bogging.
6.5psi tire pressure. Started at 8psi, went to 7, then 6.5. Maybe will try to drop it some more. didn't want to break another tranny like in IFO back in november.
Let me know when u are planning to go to montgomery track, i'll try my best to make it out and watch. I think i'm going to wait until NDRA valdost to run it again. Now i have to focus on getting the safety equipment done. Paul

I'd say your doing pretty good Paul. Looks very similar to our 10.49 slip.
Might just a need a better track and it'll do numbers.

330 - 4.73

Sweet timeslip! Congrats. The only thing that ever helps my 330 which sucks compared to yours is the 1-2 shift. When I first looked at my data logs, I was sitting on the rev limiter for .2 seconds or so. I started shifting earlier and picked up .4 in the quarter. Just a thought!
Is this in a Teg?
Is this in a Teg?
Thanks for the advice. I am sitting on the rev limiter a bit too, which may or may not be hurting my times. I on the revlimiter for a short bit in order to allow the car to catch up on speed. I have alot more testing to be doing to get the car dialed in. Sorry, this was in a hatch. Still going on my old sn. Paul
