So i did some searching,
wound up on this sponsored site,
which gave me a bunch of choices.

anyone have some insight on which pad and rotor combo
would best replace the oem brakes on my ek?

my car is a bone stock dx daily driver.
so i dont need an upgrade or anything fancy.

man, i'll tell u what, i replaced my stock brakes with autozone blank rotors and pads (duralast brand)......60 bux total and have not had one squeek since and i stop on a dime.

 

If you're stock, just get OEMs or stock replacements from your local parts store.

 

OEM replacements are fine for a DD, especially just a DX.

Don't get slotted rotors though, there is a thread around about why not to get slotted/crossdrilled rotors.

Get some blanks and OEM pads, you'll be fine.
