What happens if..?

The top of one of your pistons is minutely scratched. Im talking visible but not deep its basically just an abrasion..

I'd be wondering what caused it in the first place.

And, sharp edges are a sinker for hot spots. Possible chance of detonation when the air-fuel mixture hits it...which would be way too soon.

Im not sure what caused it, its not sharp at all, its very very smooth. Its just a tiny lil 'smudge' in the metal looks too be. Any ideas? And will this hurt my car in anyway?
