what would you do if?
Ok, this may come off a little stupid...but that's ok...i'm daydreaming about what i should do to my accord so I wanna hear what you guys would do to yours too
if you had $15,000 for a car and mods...what would you do?
personally...
i would buy a 1994 accord for around $9,000 and put an h22 in there...and probably a turbo too...that would take care of the $15,000 pretty easily...
anyone else have anything they would do?

well i would buy a 94-95 accord ex 2dr ex for 7k or less, find and buy the h23 vtec motor to be different and with what ever was left over tweak all parts of the suspension-tires-light wheels.
If you pay 9k for a 94 you're getting ripped, but that's besides the point...
Let's see... $15k....
Engine: H22a w/ 5 Speed Conversion
Forged Internals
Custom T3/T4 Turbo Setup
Custom 3' Downpipe
Greddy Profec B BC
Hondata
Greddy/HKS/Thermal Research Exhaust (2.5 Piping - Test Pipe)
Suspension: Ground Control Coilovers
Cusco or Neuspeed Front upper strut tower bar
ST Sway Bars
Brakes: Custom 4 Piston Setup, upgraded rotors/calipers
Cosmetic: Greddy Gracier Front Lip
Painted stock trim/molding
Greddy Gauges
Well I don't know how much all of this comes out to, but man that'd be nice
Oh yeah I forgot to buy the car, crap, let's just say I'm using my 96 that I already have!

i think there is a rare version of the h23 that is vtec and it has 220 hp...i'm not quite sure what car this engine went in but i'm pretty sure there is a 2.3 litre vtec out there in the H series!
I am doing the 15k challenge right now. I have the 94 accord DX coupe, and i am slapping an H23a1 NON VTEC (y0!) Engine in it with a 75 shot of Zex (for now) to be followed up by a turbo kit with the n20 kit modified to turn the intercooler into a popsicle.
94 accord dx coupe = $7,400 (3 years ago with 49K on the odometer)
Zex kit and accessories = $670
H23a1 = $1100
Other Crap = $4000
Subtotal = $13170
Sold Parts = -$1300
Total = $11870
damn, ive dumped THAT much cash into my pile of ****? Wowsers, i coulda had an E30 M3........

I think I'm going to buy another H22A and build it up into a N/A monster with it out of the car. The current engine already has enough zip to hang with the big boys.

I thought the H22 was the VTEC and the H23 was the non VTEC?

Can we say a new car? Forget a Honda, maybe a more luxurious car.

but in all seriousness, i would get another car when time and finance permits, i will still tinker and crank

i will ignore that blasphemous remark and refrain from taking away your user rating

i dont think lexan windows are allowed by the rulebook, you might want to double check that before going foreward

LOL, thanks Misa. Naw, It's just that $15k can be used for a # of things. Maybe it's just me, and after this Honda, I am done w/project stuff
