all d-series transmission interchangeable??? cable & hydraulic..

Default all d-series transmission interchangeable??? cable & hydraulic..

i've searched and no exact answer...question is i have a d15b? 89 ex 4-dr and i have a complete y8 laying around and i want to put the y8 motor in w/ the cable tranny.. will that work and also what about the cluch/flywheel is it both interchangeable too???

yes you can use your cable tranny and bolt in the y8 into your car with it. you just have to use the d15 driver side motor mount on the y8. everything else is just like replacing your motor. tranny will work on that too. any more questions just post here. they will get answered eventually.

btw - they only made the 4 door ex in 1990/1991

thanks for the info but i've always thought mine was the ex...umm i could be wrong...anyways...its a dpfi..so of course i have to convert to mpfi..can i use obd2 clips..

if you have power windows its an lx.

if you are staying obd0 you need
si or 90-91 integra injector and distributor plugs
si ecu
si distributor
you can use the y8 manifold

if you are going obd1 you need some different stuff
jumper harness
92-95 p28 ecu

you DONT want to go obd2 - scratch that idea - obd0 or obd1 - obd1 is best though

you need to search under mpfi swap and also obd1 conversion
