Sorry this doesn't really answer your question.

Do drag slicks help times by giving more traction on the launch, or do they help time because of the reduced rolling resistance over normal street tires?

They help off the line traction. Rule of thumb is that if you knock .1 sec of 60 foot you'll knock .2sec of your 1/4 mile ET.

Try using some 22X8X15 Mickey Thompsons

Probably a little bit of both. Just overall sticky tires equaling better traction, and if you're using a 555R, the lower profile will add to your FD ratio

dc2r...most people use stock ITR rims because there really aren't any drag wheels out there, unless you wanna spend the money on some koseis or some other aftermarket wheel. I actually have 2 already mounted on drag radials for sale if you're interetsed. CHeck the link below

It sounds like you want slicks, but if your looking for a drag tire for the occassional outing to the strip I have been very happy with the new BFG Drag T/A I run them all of the time, except when the car is on a road course. I have run 1.9 60ft on a 205/40/17 at 15 psi. Air them up and drive the car home. NOTE: my car is not a daily driver so I have never driven on them in a down pour or in snow.

you could fit 14 with a spacer built on the front? at least that i was told from monocoque wheels which they been around for lik 65 years and there the same design as bogards and also was told that the guy from bogards came out.
also does any one have the site for bogards wheels
and the samething is done on gsr to run 13's

I just ran my 22/8/15's on one pair of the stock rims ...... since I had aftermarkets for daily driven.

The stock wheels are pretty decent as far as weight goes, and they worked fine with slicks. If you don't have aftermarket wheels for daily driving, just spend a couple bucks on some cheapy steelies or a cheap set of alloy wheels. It's not like you are going to blast around corners on them ....
