cant get the light to turn off wiring harness is getting power and the valve inside the iac is clicking when it gets a direct 12v source i know the valve works and i know the harness is giving it power i hope? need help also is there any way to trick the ecu in closed loop maybe

 

check how many ohms the valve is, it should be about 8

also put the key is II and check voltage at pin 2, it should be the battery voltage (pin 2 is the one with the notch on the side you should see it), and pin 1 is ground (check this also)

if either of these are not right there is an open in the wire

edit: and your gonna get about 15 people to say brake cleaner it

 

if there is an open in the wire what can i do to fix the problem how do i track it through the wiring back to the ecu i know the wire colors but i hate electrical problems i also have a JUN chipped obd1 jdm p73 ecu running a crvtec motor could a bum head gasket be the problem i do seem to loose coolant when i drive it hard also i tried a friends iacv off of his car tonight and it didn't fix it still code 14

 

also the car runs like a champ when the green harness plug isn't pluged in to the iacv smooth idle no up and down but emissons still won't have it HELP!
