supplemental methanol injection
have everything ready to run a supplemental alcohol injection kit on a k20a3 with stock pistons (no turbo). t'd a vacuum switch into line coming off intake so at low or no vacuum, switch will activate solenoid and will spray through c/f f.i. nozzle before throttle body. with the nozzle size i chose and pressure i plan to run, i'm estimating about 25-30 lb/hr of supplemental methanol. has anyone else tried anything like this on a n/a car? i'm comfortable with running straight methanol (on different car) but i'm a bit nervous about what to expect on this.
wtf? has anyone here ever played with alky? i'm only concerned about the lack of compression. i guess next week, i'll play around on the dyno, start at 50 psi (@ 17 lb/hr) and keep going till it protests.
if anyone here needs anything fuel system related, gas or methanol - pumps, injectors, pr's, filters, i.r. manifolds, motec, f.a.s.t., accel, aem....let me know. oh yeah, i can also bore stock t. bodies.
