Bump, im actually gonna need to know how to do the whole thing, I just ran outside and I dont have a clue for which wire to put the green/red/white wires, I saw the diagram from autometer for the dash lighting and I popped out the dimmer switch and there are 3 wires, dont know which 1 ro use or if its a totally diff wire. and I dont have a clue for the reg/green.
red is power with ignition on (connect into any wire that is "hot" when ignition is on) - green is signal (connects to blue wire from distributor) - black is ground - white is light (connect to red/black going to brightness control)
OK I cut the red/black wire and dash doesnt work, so what do I do to get the dash and the tach to work, splice them and put them in same slot ? ? And as for the ignition I still dont know which wire, I cant really feel anything hot wires by my keys.
yes splice into the red/black - "hot" just means battery power with key on, like any black/yellow coming off fuse box at fuse 14
