Cable clutch adjustment?
What the best way to do this?? I have a YS1 cable tranny.... my clutch is probably on it's way out, at high RPM shifts from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd (even 3rd to 4th), it seems as though my clutch is slipping. I know there is a way to adjust the cable, and I thought I could maybe play around with that a bit before I buy a new clutch. Does anyone know how to do this? There is a **** on the clutch cable that can be turned, but I don't know if I should go clockwise or counter-clockwise.
THanks for your help. ALso, is there any way to "test" a clutch, to see if it's shot? I've heard something about shifting from 3rd to 5th at low RPM's and watching the rev's... anyone?
Thanks,
Adam

try shiffting into 5th at like 25mph and then watch your rpms. on the cable adjustment, "righty tighty, lefty loosey" just try and find a point where it feels better to you. as you turn it right it puts more tension on the cable, like if you were pushing the pedal down with your foot, too tight and it will wear out quicker than normal, too loose and it won't want to disengage.
