I have a 1990 Accord EX and have always wanted it black instead of the "champaign" color that it came from the factory but, it's got a maroon interior. Anyone ever seen black on maroon and if so, what were your thoughts. I'm not sure it would look so good which brings me to the other part of this post. Woud it be worth the time/trouble to dye my dash and all interior panels and carpeting and seats black/dark grey to paint the car black? If anyone has ever done this or knows someone who has, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know much about dying...but I dont think it would look THAT bad black with a maroon interior.

 

i wouldn't dye it...sounds fine as it is

 

So that's 2 votes for keeping the maroon interior and painting it black "as is". Any more opinions?

That's what she looks like now but she's soon to have 5th gen lips all the way around. Front, sides, and rear. Don't flame too hard about the underglow, it's not on very often and it's the only pic I have web hosted as of now Any and all opinions welcome, even if they are flamage.

 

I would personally just paint it black and keep the maroon interior..

Yes, leave the maroon interior. I think it would look good like that.
