ok i have a chance ot buy an 89 crx dx for $200. the car needs a clutch,head gasket, right fender and hood. clutch and head gasket i can get. i also can buy his other engine d16z6 motor also for 325. is it worth it to buy all of this or should i just buy a honda with this motor already in it??? thanks for ur help.

you could in theroy have a happy little car for around 1K said and done if its pretty rust free I would go with it too

 

it has miner rust on the fend well in the back nothing reall big. the inside of the car has nothing it but one seat, dash, and plastics in the hatch area. can i run the d16z6 motor with dpfi for now until i get the mpfi?? with out vtec or can i still do vtec????

 

i would do it
yes you can run the z6 obd0 and non vtec but you will have to notch the dizzy to fit on the head (you need an obd0 dizzy

 

The guy told me that i would be running odb1 i think with a p28 computer. will i be loosing horsepower without running v tec

 

I would buy it, if it only has the "Honda Rust" (rust around the rear quarters) crx's are good little cars and if you take care of em' they'll run 4ever.

yes you will be lososing a big noticeable amount of power.. but it will "run" obd0 and non vtec
